Pete Lake Trail to Lemah Meadows

Trail No. 1323

AUGUST 11 & 18, 2007  We signed in and out for the WTA work party at our campsite at Lemah Meadows, so the hike in and the hike out were done at our own paces and on our own time.  I love visiting Pete Lake, so these hikes were very relaxing for me.  The weather was fine on both Saturdays I visited Pete Lake, although the winds were calmer and the skies more cloudy on the 18th.

The elevation of the Pete Lake trailhead is 2800'.  The mostly level trail travels 4 miles through lovely forest until it reaches pretty Pete Lake at 2980'.  Lemah Mountain towers in the background, and on a still day, reflects magnificently in Pete Lake. Although it was just the middle of August, fall colors were already evident.
